Dinas Island is a gorgeous circular walk on the Wales Coast Path. On this occasion I needed to be in Pembrokeshire for a meeting, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a walk. This made the perfect option since I didn't have a full day, and the fact it was a circular walk was even better.

Just below Mynydd Dinas is the promontory known as Dinas Island. It isn't an island at all; in fact it is connected to the line of the coast by a low lying marsh. Dinas Cross village is a long linear settlement midway between Fishguard and Newport. The village itself is pretty, with some neat stone built cottages set back from the road. There's also a garage, a good village shop and a pub called The Ship Aground.
